European Fintech Index - Licence Register
European Fintech Index - licensed payment, e-money and crypto firms
A filterable map of regulated fintech entities across the EEA and the UK, sourced directly from the official EBA PSD2, ESMA MiCA and FCA registers: 686 e-money institutions, 1383 payment institutions, 217 AISPs and 293 crypto-asset service providers. Filter by licence type, country, regulator, service and EEA reach — the licences behind Europe’s IBANs, cards, e-money, open banking and crypto rails.
Two quality tiers, kept distinct. Entries here are register-sourced — reproduced from the official EU registers, not individually editorialised. That is different from a Fintechnologica-verified profile (our hand-checked vendor write-up). Where an entity has both, we link them.
Sources: EBA PSD2 register (payment & e-money institutions, AISPs), ESMA MiCA register (CASPs) and the FCA Financial Services Register (UK EMIs, PIs and RAISPs; post-Brexit these do not passport into the EEA), as of 2026-07-18. These registers have no legal significance and confer no rights in law — always confirm current status with the home regulator.

United Kingdom · FCA (own scale)
GB holds 736 registered firms — more than the top 5 EEA countries combined — but post-Brexit they do not passport into the EEA. Shown on a separate scale so the EEA comparison below stays readable.
