Accessibility statement

What works, what does not yet, and how to tell us when something is broken. Written honestly — the same standard we hold provider claims to.

The standard we work to

Fintechnologica aims to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA, the standard referenced by EN 301 549 and by the European Accessibility Act, which has applied since 28 June 2025. This is a self-assessment by the site's author — no third-party audit has been commissioned yet, and this page says so rather than implying a certification that does not exist.

What is in place

Known limitations

Being specific about gaps is more useful than a blanket claim of conformance:

Tell us when something is broken

If any part of this site blocks you — a keyboard trap, an unreadable control, a form you cannot complete — email [email protected] and say what you were trying to do and what happened. Accessibility bugs are treated like data errors: they get fixed, and you get an answer. You can also use the correction form. If you need information from a page you cannot use, ask and we will send it in another format.

FAQ

Can I use Fintechnologica without a mouse?

Yes. Every page is keyboard-operable: a skip link jumps to the main content, focus is always visible, and the catalogue dialogs (provider profile, comparison, match request) trap focus while open, close on Escape and return focus to where you were. If you find a keyboard trap or an unreachable control, please report it - that is a bug, not a limitation.

Does the site work without JavaScript?

Partly, by design. The interactive catalogue - filters, the assistant, comparison - needs JavaScript. Everything it contains also exists as plain server-rendered pages: every provider has a profile page, and the A-Z index, category hubs, country hubs, guides, insights and the licence register pages are all readable without scripts.
