Bancontact Payconiq Company (Brussels, Belgium) - operator of Bancontact, Belgium's domestic card + A2A scheme (2018 merger of Bancontact and Payconiq); shareholders Belfius, BNP Paribas Fortis, ING, KBC and AXA. Rebranding to 'Bancontact Company' / 'Bancontact Pay' (spring 2026) and introducing Wero. European card scheme.

Billit (Ghent, Belgium; founded 2014) - e-invoicing and digital administration platform (300,000+ users, 5m+ invoices per month) operating its own certified Peppol Access Point; ISO 27001, EU-hosted. One of the few e-invoicing players holding a payment-institution licence (NBB).

EPI Company (Belgium / pan-EU) - operator of Wero, an A2A scheme owned by 16 bank and PSP shareholders (BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, ING, KBC, SocGen, Nexi, Worldline, Sparkassen and others); acquired iDEAL and Payconiq (Oct 2023). 50m users; e-commerce from 2026.

itsme (Belgian Mobile ID, Belgium) - eIDAS-notified mobile eID (Level of Assurance High) + Qualified Trust Service Provider for e-signatures; 7.5M users. Built by 4 Belgian banks + 3 telcos; usable across Europe.

Mobilexpense (Belgium) - enterprise expense-management software (Declaree brand) with OCR/AI and a configurable policy engine. Pure software.

OpenWay (Belgium) - Way4 white-label card issuing and payments software. Unlicensed technology.

Unifiedpost Group (Belgium; Euronext Brussels) - e-invoicing and e-reporting across 60+ countries (brands Banqup, Billtobox); SME-focused document, invoicing and payment flows.

Venly Finance (Willebroek, Belgium) - stablecoin payment infrastructure: one API to collect, convert, hold, route and pay out across fiat and stablecoin rails. Business line of Venly, founded 2018 as Arkane Network by Tim Dierckxsens and co-founders (Web3 wallet/developer infrastructure). Finance API covers accounts, wallets, transfers, FX, virtual IBANs and KYC/KYB; Fundflow adds payout orchestration. Documentation lists USDC, EURC, USDT and USDS on Base, Avalanche and Polygon, fiat operations in EUR, USD and GBP, and EUR SEPA virtual bank accounts. Technology provider, not licensed itself: the company states that regulated money movement executes through licensed partner institutions across the EU and that virtual bank accounts are provided through banking partners - partners are not named publicly, so no IBAN sponsor tag (own issuance not evidenced). MiCA CASP authorisation is stated as in progress and has not been granted: no entry in the ESMA register as of our 2026-07-18 snapshot, and the FSMA had authorised no Belgian CASP at that date. Sovereignty note: the euro leg runs on EURC while the dominant supported stablecoins (USDC, USDT, USDS) are US-issued. EUR 21m Series A (April 2022) led by Courtside Ventures, with Coinbase Ventures among the investors. Listing requested by the provider (2026-07-30); card issuance is advertised on the site but not documented as a shipped product.
