What is reusable digital identity (eIDAS / EUDI)?
Instead of re-verifying a person for every service, an eID or wallet holds verified identity for reuse - the EUDI Wallet makes this an EU-wide standard from 2026. Fintechnologica lists 16 verified providers (14 European-origin), including notified eID schemes and qualified trust service providers (QTSP).
What is a QTSP?
A Qualified Trust Service Provider is audited and listed on the EU Trusted List to issue qualified signatures, seals and certificates under eIDAS - the highest legal standard for electronic signing in the EU. The catalogue flags QTSPs as a separate licence type.
